Bandcamp Live

Perform in front of your most supportive fans in a Live Stream. Make it free or sell tickets, and bask in fans’ support via the merch table, virtual gifting, and live chat.

  • You can definitely do it

With just a bit of setup, plus a laptop and good internet connection, you can start streaming and connect directly with your fans. You don’t need a computer science degree, empty concert hall, and 7 cameras.

  • Effortless promotion

We automatically invite your followers when you announce a show, and we add it to the Live calendar that we promote across Bandcamp. RSVPs and ticket buyers become followers, who are then notified of your future releases and shows — it’s a virtuous circle.

  • Meet you at the merch table

Showcase your music and merch right alongside your stream. Fans can check out without interrupting the show and their purchases appear in the chat, driving more sales.

  • Supportive streaming

Live chat lets your fans share their enthusiasm, and lets you (or your chosen moderators) engage directly with your community. Fans can also show their support by sending you digital gifts during the livestream. The 🍺 is virtual but the 💵 is real.

  • Artists first

As with every feature on Bandcamp, live streaming is built for artists first, and gives you full control of your event and your data. Ticketing, chat, viewer count, replays… it’s all optional and you own all footage from the show.

  • Transparent pricing, fast payments

For merch and virtual gifts, our fee is 10% and you get paid within 24-48 hours of your show. Same for tickets, if you decide to charge for your show — we don’t surprise fans with a “convenience” fee when they check out because we do not worship Satan.

The Bandcamp Live community says...

  • Brothertiger

The platform is intuitive and welcoming for both fans and artists. Bandcamp once again proved that they are 100% looking out for artists with this new initiative.

  • Windmill Brixton

Given we had amassed quite a large list of followers it was a no brainer to host our first major stream via Bandcamp. The broadcast quality was superb, it was so easy to promote it through the Bandcamp community and the strength of that showed through on the night with a very lively chat room and quite remarkable sales on the merch table.

  • Sarah Davachi

Those in attendance seemed to be part of a group of people who have supported basically all of my releases, and it was nice to see different people, who otherwise wouldn’t have been able to connect, be able to interact in the chat.

  • Children of Zeus

I think being able to monetize something many people are doing for free on Instagram/Twitch and also being able to direct people to merch is great.

  • Jeremy Messersmith

The integrated merch store is a fantastic idea. Just try not to read the chat while you’re performing!

I feel like eventually, it’s going to be a hybrid of live shows and live streaming. Maybe you can’t go on tour for various reasons, but you could still play and communicate with your audience in this intimate way. It transcends geography.
